The window |
 |
|
With this window, you can produce movies of your routines.
The different edition mode are described below.
The bottom part of the window is used to :
- manage the movies defined for the routine.
- the creation is done by selecting a New movie of the popup menu.
- you can change the name of the current edited movie in the same way.
- the deletion of the current edited movie is also done by using the menu.
- Play the movie and change the time using the player.
You use it the same way as
in the Routine Editor window.
You can also change the time using the arrow keys as in all the other
windows of the program.
- on the right, a progress bar will show the tempo. The color will change
for each beat, allowing you to better understand the timing of the move.
 |
The Editing mode |
 |
|
This mode gives you a global view of the stage, not related to a viewpoint.
Use it to :
- move the control points. When the mouse is over a control point, the
cursor will become a cross. Use the left button to move the point in the XZ
plane, or press Shift to move it along the Y axis.
 |
When moving the control points, toggle the showing of the height of the point
to get a better idea of the real position of the point in the 3D space.
|
- move the handles of the bezier curves (click on the 7th icon on the left
to show them, then move them).
- easily delete a viewpoint for a given time. Use the right button to access
the popup menu, then select Delete.
- align the handles for a given point. This will try to give a nice smooth
interpolation for the camera movement by changing the handles.
The algorithm is still experimental and sometimes the results can be a bit strange.
- linearize the handles. This will align the handle with the next or previous
control point in such a way that the resulting interpolation will be a linear
interpolation.

The Recording mode |
 |
|
In this mode, the view is the same as the one which will be played.
Using the left button, you can change the point you are looking at.
Using the middle button, you can change the point you are looking from.
Using the right button, you can access a popup menu allowing you to select the same
viewpoint than the next (or previous) control point.
Once your position is right, you can record it by pressing the red button icon.
When the current match the time of a control point, you can delete it by pressing
the icon with the red cross.
 |
When defining a movie, you usually start with the Recording mode to sketch the
move of you camera. Then you switch back to the Editing mode to fine tune the
movement and/or control the handles of the bezier curves.
|
 |
The Playing mode |
 |
|
In this mode, you can not change the 3D view. In fact, this mode is useful to
view the movie.
It will hide all the control informations and let you visualize the result of the
movie (use the arrow keys to change the time and/or the space bar to activation
the animation).
Just set the time at 0, press the Space key, relax and enjoy the routine !
