Gepetto was initially developped on a 486 using a software only implementation of the Open GL library. This limited computer forced a tigh design in the rendering to achieve real-time ... This explains the hard-coded model for the characters and the support for only two types of models (a man and a woman). On a more modern computer (I now have a Pentium III 450 with a G400 with an hardware aided version of Open GL) the program "flies". I am now release it under the GPL and hope to get some external help to continue the development as I get less time because of my professionnal activities. Any contribution is welcome and I am willing the help people using the engine of body animation to achieve other goals. | ||||||||||||
