GASP supports the following data type :

integer

strings (fixed length, C type, user-defined)

list of predefined values

flags

addresses (Ethernet, IP)
(the architecture of the program provides a simple framework to add others data types)

All the variables can be read and written via a mapper, which map the variable with a physical value stored in a packet.
